Rainforest
Ecotourism
If you enjoy the environment as well as
travelling, then an ecotourism vacation is ideal for
you! They amalgamate the best of both
worlds into a single great experience. Rainforest
holidays will take you to some of the isolated and most
beautiful places on earth, including the rainforests of
the Amazon, Madagascar and Congo.
Ecotourism is becoming a very fashionable
form of tourism in which tourists want to see the
wild and picturesque regions of the world. Many of
the enthusiasts are from developed countries like
North America, Australia or Europe, and their objective
is to see the natural wonders of the developing
world.

Rainforest ecotourism involves both
environmental conservation and sustainable development,
which is an exciting way to protect the rainforest, and
is like a perfect development strategy for undeveloped
areas of the world. Tourism itself brings added dollars
to an area's economy, but ecotourism has the added bonus
of travellers who want to take care of the area they're
visiting, through a combination of careful living
methods that do less damage to the environment, and
through actually pitching in and doing what they can to
help wherever they are.
Even the governments of different
countries have become involved in rainforest
ecotourism and there are now groups all over
the world promoting rainforest holidays. The rainforests
especially have become popular ecotourism destinations.
Rainforests have been growing for millenia and the canopy
over them facilitates the nurturing of several endangered
species of plant and animal life. This makes a wonderful
and picturesque classroom for ecotourists to enjoy the
beauty and learn from the diverse species of flora and
fauna living within.
On a rainforest holiday, it is possible
to spend days just bird watching and trekking
and feeling wonder over the plethora of
exotic sights and sounds of the rainforest. When you
think of taking a vacation, you might want to give some
thought to a rainforest holiday. While popular tourist spots will always
be there, rainforests may disappear!
